Small wave. Big calm.

"Alda" means "wave." We're going for the calm kind -
less crashing surf, more gentle ripple that carries you home a little more centered.

A Nordic pocket-spa - explored for Poulsbo.

This is a presale. Community interest determines whether it launches.

How it works

  • Book a single visit, or become a member for regular visits.
  • Rotate: sauna → cold plunge → rest.
  • Quiet, chaos‑free space. Intentionally small.

If enough locals want this, we’ll build it — and the Originals lock in the lowest rate.

Questions and Answers

What's the benefit of paying now?

Alda Originals - people who step up early and commit - will lock in a discounted membership rate for life. We love what Western Red Brewing has done with their consistent practice of bringing people in to the community of ownership, and we'd like to model our thinking after theirs.

The more people actually pre-pay for a membership, the more serious we know the community is about having this, and the more likely this will happen.

Don't worry: If we don't get enough interest, we'll refund everything (minus non-refundable card fees; the bank always gets their cut, sorry).

When would this open?

If enough of us want it, we’ll share next steps and target dates. Your input directly informs timing.

Where would it be?

We're investigating the options in commercially-zoned spaces in or near Poulsbo. A lot depends on how much interest we get, as well as what available real estate meets permitting and zoning requirements. If a lot of people are excited about this idea, it opens up options for more luxurious sites. If interest is low, we may have to scale it back.

Wouldn't it be cheaper for me to just ... ?

Sure, there are other places where you can hop in a sauna to get your heat fix, or you can hop in Liberty Bay for your cold fix. If those are compelling preferences for you, then a special place set aside for these purposes won't make sense to you, and that's ok.

Why are you doing this?

This is just a thing that we want, and we wonder if anybody else does. We live in a very chaotic time. Peace is hard to find. Some of our favorite times are the ones where we can disconnect, even if that's only for a few minutes. The peace of silence is incredible, and it's worth sharing as a community resource.

There's also a ton of health benefits from both heat and cold exposure, aside from the mental and emotional health of disconnecting from the noise of everyday life.
